    A fat stomach can diminish if you follow a healthy diet regularly. Be sure to eat plenty of protein, fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Limit the amount of sugar you consume because that will not help your fat stomach shrink.

    To help get rid of a fat stomach even faster, begin to participate in cardiovascular activity at least 3 times per week for 20 minutes per session. Cardio will help your body burn calories to help you lose excess weight.

    You should also participate in strength or resistance training 2 to 3 times per week to help your body build muscle which will help to burn more calories.

    Finally, firm up your fat stomach by doing abdominal exercises. Although, if you don't follow the above steps, you'll never get rid of a fat stomach simply by doing ab exercises. To get rid of a fat stomach you need to follow each and every one of these steps for the best results.
